Please forgive me for writing such a miserable letter.
In the sleepless nightmare hours of the night, it has all gone
but damn you, spoilt creature, I love you more than ever.
I believe you’ll be sensitive to a little gap and some fine pressure;
You, with your phrases; a mind that can’t ever be outshone.
Please forgive me for writing such a miserable letter
but it is a squeal of pain! I am reduced to a fine art; a tender,
desperate human feeling; I want you as the day is long.
Damn you, clever creature, I miss you more than ever.
Perhaps you don’t even feel it. To be accustomed to sweet leisure
would be to lose a little of its reality; and I am undone.
Please forgive me for writing such a miserable letter.
My dear you are essential. How could I resent the splendour
of giving myself away like some un-dumb exquisite pawn?
Damn it, you spoilt creature! I fear you more than ever.
Too truly. You clothe me in stark pleasure;
And I can’t, I shan’t be proven wrong.
Please forgive me for writing such a miserable letter
but damn you—damn you!—spoilt creature, I love you more than ever.
