I want to give you the letter L. No, it doesn’t mean Loss, Lame, or Lie. I want to give you Love, Loyalty, and Luck. The way you lull me to sleep with your lyrical purring and leniency for space. You let me stretch my wings and learn to fly. Without the “I love you” at night, how can I like myself? You legitimise my life.
If only you could see that the letter L is not what it seems. It is not a liability and you do not become a lackey, you become loveable and lively.
I want to liberate your soul from the loudness of your mind. These words’ meanings are limitless but if you take the time to look, I think you will find that the grass will begin to be luscious. The time spent with me will become luxurious. The feeling of a kiss will become lustrous.
But I am becoming lonely.
I do not want to wait for you to desire the L word. I am impatient and yearn for a time when I am wanted. No L words, no waiting, and no me. You have taught me to fly and fly I will. I do not need Love from you, I need love from me.
