Black Holes Where My Heart Should Be

Golden boy took a trip to the moon.
It was fun at first.
The cold lonely landscape intriguing to him,
But it’s hard without gravity.
I am sky high and he doesn’t like not having his feet on the ground.
Even when we’re skin to skin, he is far away
I don’t think I will ever know him
Maybe that’s okay
He has the Midas touch
Everything all glory and gold,
But he goes to bed shaking.
Voice breaking when he talks about his father.
Wealth makes you poor.
